Solenn Heussaff Is Raising Her Kids Gadget-Free Until 18
Solenn Heussaff is standing firm on a parenting rule that’s rare these days: no gadgets for her kids until they’re adults.
In a recent talk show appearance, the actress shared that her daughters with husband Nico Bolzico—six-year-old Tili and three-year-old Maëlys—don’t use iPads, don’t know social media, and won’t be getting phones anytime soon. In fact, Solenn joked that their first phone might come at 18 or 19.
For Solenn, the choice is about protecting real-life connection. She explained that seeing families glued to their screens while dining together made her realize how easily moments of bonding are lost to gadgets and constant stimulation.
She also reflected on how technology has shortened attention spans and created a culture of instant gratification, especially for a generation that grew up before smartphones took over everyday life.
While she admits technology has its benefits, Solenn says she wants her children to experience a slower, more present childhood—one without screens running the show.
