Kris Aquino Eyes Weekly Sit-Down Interviews as She Shares Health Update
Kris Aquino shared another update on her health journey while expressing hope of returning to hosting through regular sit-down interviews with people she finds interesting.
In an Instagram post on February 1, the Queen of All Media revealed that she remains in the hospital but is optimistic about being discharged the following day. Reflecting on her experiences, Kris spoke candidly about growth, relationships, and the lessons she has learned along the way.
“I feel like I’m still me, but I know myself better,” she wrote. “I’ve learned which moments to treasure and that love and friendship need to be reciprocal if you want them to last. Walang perfect na relationship, but if you’re willing to live with—and laugh at—each other’s quirks, then you have a chance to go the distance.”
She also emphasized the importance of fairness and effort in relationships. “Fight fair. Nobody should play the victim if you truly love one another. No one is ever too busy to make time for a 10-minute text exchange or a five-minute call just to check on each other,” she added.
As part of her recovery, Kris reached out to followers for recommendations on indoor swimming pools in physical rehabilitation centers or hotels with health club memberships. She also shared that she is looking for a condominium unit or house for lease in Makati, Taguig, Mandaluyong, San Juan, or Pasig—preferably with a spacious patio and garden umbrellas.
“This is my life’s new reality,” Kris wrote. “But in order for me to continue being brave, I need to slowly do what I love until I am stronger.”
She then revealed her goal of returning to work at a manageable pace. “My goal is to do once-a-week sit-down interviews with people who I find interesting, and with God’s blessing, weekly enjoyable treatment of products I really use,” she said.
Despite ongoing health challenges, Kris remains hopeful, focused, and determined to reconnect with her audience—one meaningful conversation at a time.
Kris Aquino also shared her excitement about easing back into content creation, revealing that preparations are already underway behind the scenes.
“There’s a team doing my hair and makeup, a skeleton crew, and a two-camera setup—one focused on me, the other capturing close-ups and product shots. I’m excited to start sharing new home-cooking recipes made simpler with all of you. Happy viewing,” she added.
The multimedia personality had earlier expressed how much she misses doing interviews, hinting at the possibility of launching her own video podcast.
“With the correct safety protocols, pwede akong mag-taped as live video podcast,” she said. “I really miss doing interviews. Will you watch and subscribe? Like this post if you want my podcast to start soon—with a partial home tour?”
Kris is currently undergoing treatment for multiple autoimmune conditions, including fibromyalgia, which causes widespread pain; polymyositis, which leads to muscle weakness; and mixed connective tissue disease, a condition that combines symptoms of lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis. She previously received medical treatment in the United States from June 2022 to September 2024 before returning to the Philippines.
Before stepping away from show business, Kris was a familiar face on several well-loved talk shows, including The Buzz, Good Morning, Kris, Kris TV, and many others—programs that cemented her status as one of the country’s most influential media personalities.
